SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls woman who is accused of driving in the wrong lane of Interstate 229 and causing a crash that killed a man has pleaded not guilty to seven felony charges.
Tammy Kvasnicka, 28, was indicted recently on the charges, which include third-offense drunken driving and vehicular homicide.

Comments Wanted on Farm Bill
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Democratic U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson says he's taking comments from South Dakotans on how the current farm bill is working in preparation for congressional work on writing a new one.
He's created an online survey that asks a number of questions.
Johnson says it's important to know what works and what doesn't work before writing another farm bill.
He's a member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee.

Schools Left Off Progress List
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Education Department says six high schools were left off the list for meeting adequate yearly progress goals under the federal No Child Left Behind law because of a computer error.
The department issued its report on school progress for 2009-10 earlier this week. The mistake was corrected on Wednesday.
The missed high schools are Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Brandon Valley, Hill City, Canistota, McLaughlin and Milbank.
The department says the mistake didn't affect the percentage of districts that made adequate yearly progress, which remains at 95 percent.
The department also says Chamberlain High School met the goal for math for a second consecutive year and will be taken off the school improvement list. Eight schools remain on that list.

Guilty Plea to Lesser Charge
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Brandon woman who pleaded not guilty to possessing drugs and supplying them to six minors has changed her plea to guilty on a lesser charge.
Rhonda Stoddard, 47, admitted to possessing methamphetamine.
Police raided Stoddard's home in February and said they found meth paraphernalia and bags with marijuana.
The judge ordered Stoddard to undergo drug testing twice a week until she is sentenced on Sept. 30.
Stoddard once publicly advocated for a tougher driving under the influence law in South Dakota, after losing her husband to a drunk driver.

Man Dies from Crash Injuries
YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - A Volin man has died of injuries suffered earlier this week in a two-vehicle crash northeast of Yankton.
Alan Welsh of the South Dakota Highway Patrol says 65-year-old Phillip Larson died Tuesday at an Iowa hospital.
The patrol says another driver, 18-year-old Brenna Rae Sibson of Vermillion, failed to stop at a Yankton County intersection and collided with Larson's pickup, causing it to roll. The crash happened about 5:40 p.m. Monday.
The patrol says Sibson and her 17-month-old daughter suffered minor injuries.
